It was agonizing TORTURE …

Way back in July 2023, I was chained to my laptop on another Saturday morning.

Blinking cursor taunting me as I grind out yet another SOP (standard operating procedure… a step-by-step document outlining a process….my worst nightmare!)

I had been told the drill 100 times:

“Scale myself out to scale the business.”

After all, a captain can’t steer the ship if she’s still sweeping the deck.

So this meant I had to create detailed documentation for every. single. step. of every. single. thing. so my team could replicate ‘me’ in the business.

And for a visionary with a mind racing at warp speed? Pure and agonizing torture.

But “necessary,” right?

That’s what I thought until one random webinar changed everything.

The big promise was that I could crank out AI-powered SOPs in a fraction of the time.

I was desperate enough to make the time -- no matter what.

And boy oh boy, did that webinar deliver.

So just as he taught, I hit record on my computer, spoke my process out loud to the AI robot, and minutes later…

…2023 Callan, you had NO idea how simple it really is.

(Like OMG, so simple that I even taught my 77-year-old neighbors, Chuck and Darlene, how to use it and they now use AI every day!!)

And frankly, I can’t believe that I thought my business didn’t need AI since we were doing “just fine as is.”

That’s like if I saw a lumberjack hackin’ away at a tree with a butterknife saying “This is the way I’ve always done it. It’s workin’ just fine!”

…Then I roll in on an industrial-sized backhoe with a cushy seat inside an air-conditioned cab with Bluetooth music.

Yeeeeeah, I saw it was no longer just fine to keep running my business the old-fashioned way.

And that was the a-ha! This is the future.
