Performance Creative: Ads, Landing Pages & Sales Decks That Convert

10-25 hours/week (up to 30-40 during launch seasons) | Remote Contractor | Reports to Director of Paid Media & Creative Innovation

You'll design the creative assets that drive conversions across our entire funnel—Meta ads, landing pages, and pitch decks that move cold traffic to qualified leads. Ad creative is the core of this role: thumb-stopping static images and carousels that stop the scroll and drive masterclass registrations, quiz completions, VSL views, and launch opt-ins. You'll produce 5-20 ad variations per week (more during launch seasons), working closely with our Paid Media Director to test, iterate, and scale what works. You'll also design landing pages and sales decks as needed to support launches and partnerships. Light video editing (captions, CapCut) is a plus.

Who We Are

The Uncommon Business is the world's fastest-growing AI-first education company, teaching business leaders to architect intelligent systems, not just prompt tools. We don't do busywork, legacy thinking, or 80-hour founder weeks. We build companies where AI handles the repeatable, humans drive the irreplaceable, and leaders scale without burning out. We're profitable, EOS-driven, and operate in championship-level surge cycles. You'll be promoted on impact and ownership—not tenure. High performers thrive here. Passengers don't last.

If You Worked Here Last Week

You might have:

  • Designed 12 Meta ad variations (8 static, 4 carousels) that achieved a 4.2% CTR—outperforming prior campaigns by 38% and generating 47 qualified masterclass registrations in 72 hours

  • Delivered final ad assets to the Paid Media Director 48 hours before launch, giving the team time to load, test, and optimize without last-minute scrambling

  • Created a reusable Canva template system for testimonial-style ads that cut production time from 90 minutes to 20 minutes per variation

  • Designed a high-converting landing page for the spring masterclass launch that maintained brand consistency while improving mobile load speed and above-the-fold clarity

  • Built a pitch deck for a partnership conversation that clearly communicated TUB's value prop and helped close a licensing deal

  • Analyzed performance data from the last launch and documented 3 design patterns that drove the highest CTR—then applied those insights to the next campaign

  • Added captions to 6 education style video ads in CapCut, increasing watch time by 23% and improving conversion on mobile placements

Your Core Responsibilities

We value ownership over task lists. Here's where you'll lead:

  • Meta Ad Creative That Converts: You'll design static images and carousels that stop the scroll and drive conversions across our entire funnel—free masterclass registrations, quiz completions, VSL views, and launch opt-ins. You'll work with the Paid Media Director to understand what's working, test new angles, and iterate quickly based on CTR and conversion data. Every design decision is rooted in performance, not aesthetics.

  • Rapid Iteration & Launch Execution: During launch seasons, you'll produce 15-40 ad variations per week, moving fast without sacrificing quality. You'll build reusable templates and systems that allow you to test new hooks, visuals, and CTAs quickly, giving the Paid Media team more ammunition to scale what works.

  • Light Video Editing & Caption Burning: You'll add captions to short-form video ads using CapCut or similar tools, ensuring our video creative is mobile-optimized and performs on Meta placements. This isn't heavy video production—it's making existing video assets scroll-stopping and conversion-ready.

  • Landing Page & Pitch Deck Design: As needed, you'll design landing pages for launches and pitch decks for webinars, partnerships, or sales conversations. These aren't weekly tasks, but when they come up, you'll deliver clean, on-brand, conversion-focused designs that align with our sales messaging.

  • Performance-Driven Design Systems: You'll analyze ad performance data (CTR, conversion rates, engagement) and document what works so the team can replicate success. You'll build template libraries and design systems that make future ad production faster and more effective.

The Traits We’re Calling In

We hire humans, not checklists, but success here requires:

  • You've designed high-converting Meta ads for education, coaching, or high-ticket digital offers—preferably with proven CTR results in the 3-5%+ range. You have a portfolio that shows you understand direct-response design, not just brand aesthetics.

  • You move fast without sacrificing quality. You can produce 5-10 ad variations in a week while maintaining design standards, and you thrive in high-intensity launch windows where speed and execution matter.

  • You're fluent in Canva (non-negotiable) or Figma, comfortable with light video editing in CapCut or similar tools, and understand how to design for mobile-first placements on Meta. You know what makes an ad stop the scroll on a tiny screen.

  • Preferred: Familiarity with AI image and video generation tools (Midjourney, Runway, etc.) to accelerate creative production.

  • You think in data, not opinions. You use CTR, conversion rates, and engagement metrics to validate design decisions, and you're comfortable iterating quickly when performance data says something isn't working.

  • You default to systems and templates. You build reusable assets that make future production faster, and you document what works so the team can scale without reinventing the wheel every time.

What Success Looks Like

You own these key metrics:

  • Ad Performance: Meta ads consistently achieve CTRs in the 3-5%+ range (industry standard for education/coaching), with documented design iterations and A/B tests that show measurable lift in engagement and conversions.

  • Production Velocity: 5-20 ad variations delivered per week with fewer than 2 revision cycles, enabling the Paid Media team to test and scale without delays.

  • Template & System Efficiency: Reusable ad templates and design systems reduce production time by 40-50% within the first 3 months, with clear documentation that enables future team members to execute without starting from scratch.

  • Launch Asset Delivery: All launch-critical ad creative, landing pages, and pitch decks delivered 48+ hours before launch deadlines, giving the team time to load, test, and optimize without last-minute scrambling.

  • Video Optimization: Video ads with captions consistently achieve 20%+ higher watch time and engagement on mobile placements compared to non-captioned versions.

📋 Launch Season Expectations

Our launch seasons are intentionally high-intensity and fast-paced to drive transformation for our clients and our team. Twice per year (10-12 weeks total), team members in launch-critical roles are expected to be available for increased workload and faster turnaround times. During launch windows, hours may increase to 30-40/week based on campaign volume.

This pace is not for everyone—and that's okay. We set this expectation clearly so that only those who thrive in high-accountability, high-impact environments choose to be here.

In return, you'll be part of a team that moves fast, solves real problems, and builds meaningful outcomes. You'll grow rapidly, work alongside exceptional talent, and contribute to work that truly matters. Outside launch seasons, workload is sustainable and strategic—focused on building the systems that make the next launch even stronger.
