Who We Are

The Uncommon Business is the world's fastest-growing AI-first education company, teaching business leaders to architect intelligent systems, not just prompt tools. We don't do busywork, legacy thinking, or 80-hour founder weeks. We build companies where AI handles the repeatable, humans drive the irreplaceable, and leaders scale without burning out. We're profitable, EOS-driven, and operate in championship-level surge cycles. You'll be promoted on impact and ownership—not tenure. High performers thrive here. Passengers don't last.

If You Worked Here Last Week

You might have:

  • Redesigned the A2A sales page hero section that increased scroll depth from 47% to 68% and lifted conversion by 2.3%, generating an estimated $57K in incremental revenue

  • Built 3 Meta ad variations in Figma that the Copywriter's hooks transformed into 9.4% CTR campaigns—outperforming prior benchmarks by 41%

  • Delivered final Webflow-ready designs for the Superhuman Work landing page 8 days before launch, giving MarTech time to build and QA without last-minute panic

  • Analyzed heatmap data from the last launch and documented 4 friction points in the checkout flow—then designed solutions that reduced cart abandonment by 11%

  • Created a reusable GHL page template system that cut evergreen landing page build time from 6 hours to 90 minutes while maintaining brand consistency

Your Core Responsibilities

We value ownership over task lists. Here's where you'll lead:

  • Sales Pages & Landing Pages That Convert: You'll design every high-stakes revenue page—A2A sales pages, VSL landing pages, webinar registration flows, and evergreen funnel pages. You own visual hierarchy, scroll psychology, mobile optimization, and ensuring every design decision is rooted in conversion data, not aesthetics. You work closely with the Copywriter to turn their words into layouts that drive action.

  • Paid Ad Creative & Collaboration: You'll design static ads, carousels, and video thumbnails that stop the scroll and drive clicks. You'll partner with the Copywriter to bring their messaging to life visually—sometimes leading creative direction, sometimes translating their copy into high-performing design, always optimizing for conversion and brand consistency across Meta, YouTube, and affiliate channels.

  • Website Design & Optimization: You'll own the visual experience of theuncommonbusiness.com, ensuring every page is on-brand, conversion- optimized, and mobile-friendly. You'll refresh outdated pages, design new sections as offerings evolve

  • Conversion Analytics & Iteration: You'll analyze heatmaps, scroll depth data, session recordings, and A/B test results to identify friction points and design solutions that improve performance. You don't just launch pages—you systematically refine them based on user behavior and conversion metrics.

  • Design Systems & Efficiency: You'll build reusable templates, component libraries, and design systems in Figma and GHL that allow the team to move faster without sacrificing quality. You'll document your process so future hires can scale design output without reinventing the wheel every time.

The Traits We’re Calling In

We hire humans, not checklists, but success here requires:

  • You've designed sales pages or landing pages that have generated $1M+ in revenue—preferably for education, coaching, SaaS, or high-ticket DTC offers. You have a portfolio that proves you understand conversion psychology, not just visual design.

  • You think in data, not opinions. You use heatmaps, scroll depth, session recordings, and A/B tests to validate design decisions. You're comfortable defending your choices with metrics and equally comfortable pivoting when data says you're wrong.

  • You're fluent in Figma and GHL (required), comfortable with Webflow or similar builders, and understand how to design for both desktop and mobile without compromising conversion. You know the difference between designing for developers vs. designing for no-code platforms.

  • You thrive during high-intensity launch windows and understand championship-season pace. Twice a year, you're all-in—delivering polished, conversion-optimized designs on tight deadlines. Outside launches, you build systems that make the next one even smoother.

  • You default to clarity over creativity. You know when a bold design choice serves conversion and when it's just ego. You're not here to win design awards—you're here to drive revenue.

What Success Looks Like

You own these key metrics:

  • Sales Page Conversion Performance: Sales pages maintain or improve conversion benchmarks established in prior launches, with documented design iterations and A/B tests that show measurable lift.

  • Design Delivery Velocity: All launch design assets (sales pages, landing pages, ad creative) delivered 7+ days pre-launch with fewer than 2 revision cycles, enabling MarTech and the team to execute without last-minute scrambling.

  • User Behavior Optimization: Scroll depth improves by 10-15% quarter-over- quarter on key pages, with documented heatmap analysis and friction-point solutions that reduce bounce rates and increase time-on-page.

  • Ad Creative Performance: Static ads, carousels, and video thumbnails consistently achieve CTRs in the top 25% of industry benchmarks for education/coaching, with clear collaboration between design and copy driving results.

  • Design System Efficiency: Reusable templates and component libraries reduce evergreen page build time by 40-50% within first 6 months, with clear documentation that enables future team members to execute without your direct involvement.

📋 Launch Season Expectations

Launch Season Expectations: Our launch seasons are intentionally high-intensity and fast-paced to drive transformation for our clients and our team. Twice per year (10-12 weeks total), team members in launch-critical roles are expected to be available from 7 AM to 7 PM, with additional hours often required for preparation, execution, live event support, and post-launch debriefs.

This pace is not for everyone—and that's okay. We set this expectation clearly so that only those who thrive in high-accountability, high-impact environments choose to be here.

In return, you'll be part of a team that moves fast, solves real problems, and builds meaningful outcomes. You'll grow rapidly, work alongside exceptional talent, and contribute to work that truly matters. Outside launch seasons, workload is sustainable and strategic—focused on building the systems that make the next launch even stronger.
